Sunday, April 11, 2010 Patrice LaGayle Newton was born on June 05, 1972 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Claudia and Paul D. Newton. She departed this life on Sunday, April 11, 2010. At a very early age Trice realized that her Aunt Thelma would protect her, so when in trouble she would leave home to go stay with Aunt Thelma. She attended school in Pauls Valley. She was very athletic, and one of her highlights was scoring all 13 points for her 9th grade basketball team even though they lost the game. She was very outgoing and personable. Trice went to LPN school and worked at SORC for a short time as well as Wayne Alternative group home. However, she found that working with children was what she loved to do and was a day care attendant for Toddler's Town Daycare at the time of her death. Trice accepted Christ at an early age. She leaves to cherish her memories: Her mother Claudia Newton of Pauls Valley. Her children; Darrell Newton, Darrius Stewart and Daniel Newton all of Pauls Valley. Her brothers; Bryan Dale Peters of Oklahoma City, Greg Newton of California, and Rev. Herman L. Stevenson, Jr., Dana Stevenson of Edmond, Oklahoma. A host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Light of the World Pentecostal Church of God of Pauls Valley with Rev. Herman L. Stevenson, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. |
