Oklahoma City, Oklahoma August 2021 September 19, 1958 ~ August 30, 2021 Cindy Kay Spears, of Oklahoma City, passed away August 30, 2021 in Oklahoma City at the age of 62 years. Cindy Kay Turner was born September 19, 1958 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Freddy Benton Turner and Coy K. Turner. Cindy grew up in the Maysville Oklahoma area and graduated from Maysville High School in 1976. She loved playing basketball in High School. She was married to Roy Allen Spears in Texas on March 23, 1977. They made their home in Hennessey, Oklahoma from 1980 to 1995. Cindy worked at the local nursing home in Hennessey, Oklahoma as a CNA, CMA and went to college and became a certified dietary manager. In 1995 Roy and Cindy moved to Healdton Oklahoma were she worked as a dietary manager for the local nursing home. In 2004 both Roy and Cindy retired and moved to Oklahoma City were she lived at the time of her passing. Cindy was a member of the Rebekah's she joined the first time in Hennessey Oklahoma in the 1980's and joined the 2nd time April 26,2005. She served as District Deputy President, several appointed offices in the Assembly before starting through the lineup as Warden, Vice President and President. She was currently serving as Chairman of the Finance Committee for the Rebekah Assembly and Noble Grand of Oriole Rebekah Lodge #204 and was an Associate Member of Del City Rebekah Lodge #151. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Freddy Benton and Coy Katherine Turner; her husband, Roy Allen Spears; a daughter, Nyree Dawn Burris and a brother, Freddy Turner. Her surviving family include: one daughter, Rhonda Spears-Graham and husband, Ian, of Oklahoms City; one son-in-law, Stoney Burris of Ada; one son, Emanuel Fipps of Oklahoma City; one granddaughter, Stormy Burris, one great grandson, Ray Allen Burris; two sisters, Linda Turner of Missouri; and Sandy Reel of Arkansas; two brothers, Charley Turner of Lindsay, and Roger Turner, of Paoli; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and many friends. Since services will be indoors it is requested that masks be worn. Funeral services will be held at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
