Ray, age 87, of Chickasha, OK was born July 25, 1923 in Canby, MN the daughter of Eugene Herman and Katie Hanson Ott. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Oliver Ray, a brother, Forrest Ott of Summerville, SC, three children: Vickie Sears and Ronnie Ray of Oklahoma City and Teresa Little of Washington, OK, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her sister Charlotte Ott and her son Douglas Ray preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held Thursday, 10 am at First Presbyterian Church, Chickasha. A private interment will be held at Antioch Cemetery near Maysville with the services of the Cremation Society of Oklahoma. During World War II, Marcy and her sister worked at Ft Warren in Cheyenne, WY and were big supporters of the USO. She enjoyed providing for her family and neighbors and was a lifelong Presbyterian church member. She was very proud of her family and loved them very much. There are not enough words to express how much we will miss her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marcy's name to First Presbyterian Church, 428 S 6th St, Chickasha, OK 73018. |
