© Winans Funeral Home Maysville Oklahoma January 2017 September 30, 1959 ~ January 27, 2017 Jim "Moses" Powell was born on September 30, 1959 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Elmer Fallis Powell and Betty [DeBord] Powell. He passed from this life on Friday, January 27, 2017 in Oklahoma City at the age of 57 years. Moses, as he was known since he walked with a wooden staff, had been a resident of Maysville, Paoli, and most recently Pauls Valley where he lived with his sister, Mary. He enjoyed being a construction worker over the years. He loved spending time and visiting with his family and friends, and being outdoors where he walking and fishing. Moses will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his son, Eric Powell and wife Summer of Oklahoma City. Brothers: Melvin Powell and wife Shonda of Maysville; Bob Powell of Byars, and Elmer Powell of Oklahoma City. Sisters: Mary Knight of Pauls Valley; Connie Walls of Purcell; Jeannie Acuna and husband Johnny of Sayre; and Patricia Powell of Purcell. Grandchildren, Haley, Devin, and Makenzie. And a host of other relatives. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Betty Powell and a son, Joey Powell. Memorial services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Antioch Cemetery with Rev. Danny Gamble officiating under the direction of John W.
