Jan Jenna Lee [Stephens] Mobbs
September 21, 1931 ~ February 28, 2018

Jan Jenna Lee Mobbs of Maysville was born on September 21, 1931 in Maysville, Oklahoma to Virgil Lee and Emma Lee [Roller] Stephens and she passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in her home at the age of 86 years.

Jan grew up in Maysville and moved to Sherman, Texas where she worked as a beautician and seamstress, then lived in Ada, Madill, and Harrah before moving back to Maysville in 1974.

She worked at Tinker Air Force Base and as a state field inspector for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission before retiring.

She loved spending time with her family and cooking for them on holidays.

Jan enjoyed her horses, especially the mares and baby colts, gardening, and sewing professionally.

She was very outgoing and always enjoyed a great conservation as she never met a stranger.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Her survivors include her daughters: Kim Best and husband Tom of Maysville; Sandra Ridgeway of Wynnewood; and Becky Evans and husband Bryce of Mesquite, Texas; A sister, Minnie Harris of Weatherford; 6 Grandchildren; 6 Great grandchildren; 2 Great-great grandchildren: Christopher Eastman and Emmit Eastman.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Emma Stephens.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Antioch Cemetery with Rev. Matt Neal and Rev. Neil Barlow officiating.
