Billie Joe Minnick
February 15, 1943 ~ January 3, 2017

Billie Joe Minnick of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Homer and Eula [Mobley] Minnick on February 15, 1943 in Clemscott, Oklahoma and passed from this life on January 3, 2017 at his home near Antioch, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years.

Papa Joe grew up and attended school at Woodland. He later played football and graduated from Pernell High School.

He served his country in the U. S. Army. After his service, he returned home to care for his parents.

On October 27, 1967, Joe married Evelyn Jean Roller in Gainesville, Texas.

He worked in the oil field as a driller for many years, retiring at the age of 62.

In his spare time Joe enjoyed raising cattle, being outdoors, gardening, and raising bird dogs. Joe loved his family and friends.

Mr. Minnick is survived by: Son: Rickey Beene of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Daughter: Bennie Kay Stewart of Maysville, Oklahoma, 2 sisters: Maxine Swanda of Davis, Oklahoma, Kay Courtney of Elmore City, Oklahoma, 7 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, family and friends.

Mr. Minnick was preceded in death by: His wife: Evelyn Jean Minnick on December 29, 2016, Daughter: Bonnie Jo Beene, Parents: Homer and Eula Minnick, 5 brothers: Quinton, Edward, Manuel, Richard, and Homer "Radar" Ray Minnick, 3 sisters: Wanda Golson, Marsha Simms, and Shirley Phillips.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 in the Antioch Cemetery with Rev. Danny Gamble officiating.

Evelyn Jean [Roller] Minnick
May 27, 1936 ~ December 29, 2016


Evelyn Jean Minnick of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Buck and Junita (Shoemake) Roller on May 27, 1936 in Antioch, Oklahoma and passed from this life at her home near Antioch at the age of 80 years.

Evelyn grew up and attended school in Bradley, Oklahoma.

She worked for Storm Plastic for a number of years.

On October 27, 1969, Evelyn married Joe Minnick in Gainesville, Texas. Together they made their home in Antioch, Oklahoma.

In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, sky diving, and sewing. Evelyn was a wonderful cook, mother, and wife.

Mrs. Minnick is survived by: Her husband: Joe Minnick of the home, Son: Rickey Beene of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Daughter: Bennie Kay Stewart of Maysville, Oklahoma, 6 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Minnick was preceded in death by: Daughter: Bonnie Jo Beene, Parents: Buck and Junita Roller, Brothers: Kack Roller and Benny Roller, Sister: Bobbie Ann Williams.

Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, January 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Antioch Cemetery with Rev. Danny Gamble officiating.
