© Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma January 2023 March 31, 1957 January 12, 2023 Don Lynn McCarty, of Wynnewood, passed away January 12, 2023 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years. Don was born March 31, 1957 in Ft. Ord, California to Billy Don and Anna Rae [Foster] McCarty. He attended Pauls Valley schools and is a 1975 graduate of the Pauls Valley High School. He was married to his wife in Gainesville, Texas on January 21, 1977. He was the manager of the Sonic in Pauls Valley for many years until he retired from there. He and his wife opened up a country store East of Pauls Valley "Peggy's County Store" they ran the store for a couple of years. A little bit before they shut the store down, he began working at Walmart from which he retired. Pauls Valley has been his home most of his life. Don loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and his great grandson. He greatly enjoyed fishing and playing with his dog, "Sophie". He loved playing pool on Friday nights with his family and really good friends. He loved to ride his motorcycle with his wife and family. He lived his life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by parents Billy Don and Anna Rea McCarty; 1 brother, Dennis McCarty; uncle, Jerry Don McCarty; father-in-law, Gene Pettigrew; sister-in-law and her husband, James and Sandy Walker; great grandson, Dominick McCarty; nephew, Brandon Gene Pettigrew; and niece, Maranda Doughty. Funeral services will be held at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
