© Winans Funeral Home Maysville Oklahoma January 2017 August 30, 1959 ~ January 8, 2017 Cynthia Ann Hunt of Lindsay was born on August 30, 1959 in Visalia, California to Joseph Dodson and Veda [Searcy] Dodson. She passed away very unexpectedly from this life on Sunday, January 8, 2017 in Lindsay at the age of 57 years. Cynthia grew up in Bridgecreek, attending school there until the 8th grade then continuing her education in Tuttle where she graduated. She married James Aldon Hunt on July 22, 1977 at the Robinson Street Holiness Church in Norman. They made their home in the Garvin County area and most recently in Lindsay. Cynthia was a homemaker and foster mother who loved her family and enjoyed taking trips with her grandchildren, going on picnics, and grilling hamburgers. She loved singing and playing the piano, reading books, and taking vacations to places like Niagra Falls and San Antonio. She was a regular fan of the Sonic Route 44 Diet Dr. Pepper. Cynthia would always have a blanket in her lap. She loved going to church, spending time with her church family, and the ladies' retreats were very important to her. She was a member of the Wallville Holiness Church and was a prayer warrior for the church and her family. Cynthia will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her husband of 39 years, James Al Hunt of the home in Lindsay. Father, Joseph Dodson of Blanchard, OK. Sons: Matthew Hunt and wife Kristi of Nampa, Idaho; Joseph Hunt and wife Kandace of Blanchard, OK; Aaron Hunt of Lindsay, OK; Timothy Hunt and wife Hannah of Boyd, Texas; and Isaiah Hunt of Lindsay, OK. Daughters: Charity Hunt of Lindsay, OK and Kristen Hunt and Ryan of Oklahoma City, OK. A brother, Marvin Dodson and wife Sherrie of Hamford, California. Sisters: Debbie Boxley of Blanchard, OK; Kay Coleman of Blanchard, OK; Dana Mize and husband Jarrod of Blanchard and Laura Meyers and husband Kim of West Carrolton, Ohio. Cynthia was preceded in death by her mother, Veda Dodson. A visitation for family will be held from 5 to 6 pm and for friends from 6 to 8 pm, on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Eastside Holiness Church in Maysville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the First Assembly of God Church, Maysville with Bro. Marvin Dodson, Bro. Larry Landress, and Bro. Shane Pharris officiating.
