Harry Howard Henninger
September 9, 1923 ~ April 12, 2014


Harry Howard Henninger, 90, of Ardmore, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, April 12, 2014. He was born September 9, 1923 in Elmore City, Oklahoma as an only child to Ted and Dora [Morse] Henninger.

Harry graduated in 1942 from Elmore City High School. He worked alongside his father on the family farm and learned to be a mechanic at his father's garage in Elmore City. Harry soon pursued his passion for aviation and obtained his pilot's license in the 1940's.

He met the love of his life, Nina June Kennedy and they were married in Gainesville, Texas on February 12, 1951. Together they raised three children.

Harry studied meteorology at the University of Oklahoma and geology at Phillips University in Enid. He worked as an independent oilman in exploration, drilling, and production for the majority of his life.

Harry was a devout Christian and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

He will be remembered as a loving, generous family man and friend who touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Harry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nina June [Kennedy] Henninger; his three children, Sandra Moore of Norman, Sheila Fields and husband Todd of Oklahoma City, and Harry "Kevin" Henninger and wife Rachel of Ardmore; and eight grandchildren, Christine, James, Julie, Aaron, Ashley, Kate, Conlan, Josh and a great grandchild, Gabriela.

Visitation for Harry will be from 12:00 p.m. â•" 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman with family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel, 3401 Havenbrook Street in Norman followed by Graveside Services to be held 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Cemetery in Garvin, Oklahoma.

Nina June [Kennedy] Henninger
June 9, 1932 ~ May 5, 2019


Nina June [Kennedy] Henninger, 86, Ardmore, passed away on May 5, 2019 in Norman, Oklahoma. She was born June 9, 1932 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Joseph Oliver "Ollie" and Alice Frances [Ray] Kennedy.

Nina June attended Wynnewood schools through ninth grade, when the family then relocated to the Elmore City area. Upon graduating from Elmore City High School in 1950, June had been recognized for her ambitious desire of learning, her love of history and according to the Badger yearbook, "her quiet ways with a double whammy smile."

In 1951, June married Harry H. Henninger, also of Elmore City, and became an avid homemaker who loved cooking, art, music, movies, books, social and community activities. Throughout their 63 years of marriage, Nina June and Harry resided in Duncan, Enid, and finally Ardmore, Oklahoma for 40 years.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, worked at polling stations during election years and enjoyed giving historical programs at local organizations. She was an avid lover of genealogy. She never missed her children's baseball games, theatrical productions and various other activities. Never forgetting her high school, she was always eager to reacquaint with old friends and teachers at Elmore City reunions.

Nina June will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she will be remembered for her sweet, caring nature, humor and a smile that could brighten the day.

Nina June was preceded in death in 2014 by her husband, Harry.

She is survived by her three children, Sandra Moore of Norman, Sheila Fields and husband Todd of Oklahoma City, Harry Kevin Henninger and wife Rachel of Ardmore; eight grandchildren, Christine, James, Julie, Aaron, Ashley, Kate, Conlan, Josh; four great grandchildren Gabriela, Isabel, Jackson and Hunter.

Also surviving is her sister, Elaine Kennedy of Denton, Texas; one niece, two nephews and their children. Nina June's family was her greatest love in her life.

The family will be present to receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook St. in Norman, OK. Viewing will be open from 12-8pm.

Memorial Services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Norman.
