Norman, Oklahoma March 12, 2008 May 22, 1913 ~ March 12, 2008 Edna Blanche Gardenhire Stewart of Elmore City Oklahoma was born to D. E. and Arlie Luvida [Jones] Roller on May 22, 1913 in Antioch, Oklahoma and passed from this life on March 12, 2008 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 94 years. Blanche grew up and spent her life in Garvin county in the foothills of the Table Top Mountains. She attended school at Bell, Mt. Chapel and high school at Maysville. Blanche farmed and ranched and worked for S.O.R.C. for ten years and also owned and operated the B & B Roller Rink. She was a member of the Antioch Home Extension Club and the First Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed writing poetry, raising cattle and gardening. The highlights of her life were her grandchildren and her family. Blanche always loved their family reunions and especially loved her dog, Cyclone. Mrs. Gardenhire is survived by; 2 sons: Hugh Gardenhire and his wife Ruth of Duncan, Oklahoma Wiley Gardenhire of Elmore City, Oklahoma 1 daughter: Gayle Johnson and her husband Reford of Moore, Oklahoma 2 sisters: Elsie Runyon of Peoria, Arizona Dixie Huffman of Elmore City, Oklahoma 7 grandchildren: Ronda, Linda, Ricky, Ronnie, Randy, Valerie and Yancy 11 great-grandchildren: Bryan, Jaque, Mandy, Brandie, Natalie, Amanda, Savannah, Hannah, Micah, Victoria, and Heather 8 great-great-granchildren: Joseph, Ace, Ericka, Jakacee, Jake, Gavin, Peyton and Taylor Her dog, Cyclone. Mrs. Gardenhire was preceded in death by; Her husbands: Walter Bryan Gardenhire and Larry Stewart 1 infant daughter Her parents: D. E. and Arlie Luvida Roller 2 brothers: Henry and Loyce Roller 5 sisters: Pauline Davidson, Marge Weldon, Hazel Roller, Jewell Gardener and Bea Riley. |
