She was an Art Teacher for Lindsay Public Schools. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Antioch Cemetery. ~ ~ ~ Dovie Sue Hines-Bakewell of Lindsay was born on January 27, 1982 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Bob R. and Alice [Smart] Hines. She passed from this life at the age of 39 on Thursday, March 25, 2021 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Dovie grew up in Lindsay where she graduated from Lindsay High School in 2000. She attended USAO in Chickasha where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education. She taught at Lawton, Rush Springs, and Lindsay Public Schools. Dovie married Daniel Bakewell on June 12, 2010 in her parent's front yard. She loved her family and spending time with them. She did photography for others and rarely charged. Dovie enjoyed being outside checking the cows especially with her dad. She also enjoyed painting, riding horses and 4-wheelers, kayaking, and floating the river. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and students. Survivors include her husband, and sons, all of the home. Parents, Brothers: Dovie was preceded in death by her brother, Joshua Ray Hines. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Antioch Cemetery with Bro. Danny Daniels officiating. Burial is under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
