Zion Lutheran Cemetery


March 19, 1927 - December 01, 2018

Funeral Service for Evelyn Wyssmann age 91, Fairmont, is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont, with the Rev. Mark Blakeman and the Rev. Timothy Dorsch officiating.

Burial follows in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Fairmont, under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Evelyn was born March 19, 1927, at Fairmont, to EJC and Kathryn Lemke Eggers, and passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018, in Branson, MO.

She attended Bank School and Zion Lutheran School, and graduated from Pioneer High School in 1945.

After high school, she worked at Evans Drug in Enid. On August 15, 1948, married Homer H. Wyssmann at Zion Lutheran Church in Fairmont and he passed away March 13, 2000.

After marriage in 1948, she worked at General Mills, Inc. the elevator, the grocery store in Fairmont, and the U.S. Post Office in Fairmont.

She was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Fairmont and was baptized on April 10, 1927, and confirmed April 6, 1941, by Pastor Henry Mueller.

She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, and was a Choir member at Zion Lutheran Church.

Evelyn is survived by: daughter, Linda and spouse Dennis Albrecht, Branson, MO; two sons, Joe and spouse Luanne, Columbia Heights, MN; and Brad and spouse Sherrie, Fairmont; and sister, Evonne Gash, Burlington, KS., Grandchildren, Ginger Hao and spouse, Peter; Russell Bratcher and spouse Aleksandra; Kevin Bratcher; Brooke Rody and spouse Matthew; Sarah Wyssmann; and step-grandchildren, Matt Wright and spouse Jeni; Paul Albrecht, Monticello, MN; and Chris Albrecht and spouse Kristi, Finlayson, MN; nine great-grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elaine Eggers; brother, Ronald Eggers; and son-in-law, Ron Bratcher.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Memorial Fund, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Evelyn's family would like to say "Thank You" to all the family and friends for their help when needed.
