Recent Deaths
MITTELSTAEDT - Funeral for Emil Mittelstaedt, Garfield county pioneer resident, was held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. O.K. Hensel officiating. Burial was in the Lutheran cemetery at Fairmont.
Mittelstaedt, who died Sunday morning at his home, 1425 East Randolph, after a week's illness, came to Oklahoma from Iowa in 1899.
Mittelstaedt is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Paul Diven of Enid; Mrs. Fred Polwort, of Troy, Ill.; Mrs. Henry Planetz, of Waterville, Wash.; and three sons, Martin Mittelstaedt of Enid; Ted Mittelstaedt of Douglas, Wash.; and Andred Mittelstaedt of Fairmont.

Near Fairmont
Emil Mittlesteadt was born in Germany in 1862. He immigrated to this country in 1889 when 18 years of age and settled at Independence, Iowa. There he was married in 1881. He came to Oklahoma in 1891 and lived on a farm four miles northwest of Fairmont until 1914 when he went to the state of Washington, where he lived, later going to Orange, Calif., for several years. He returned to Oklahoma in 1926, and since that time, Enid has been their home.
He died very unexpectedly at his home Saturday evening, May 15, 1937, having lived 75 years, 1 month and 9 days.
Mr. and Mrs. Mittlesteadt celebrated their golden wedding anniversary just a month ago.
Surviving relatives are his widow, three sons, Martin of Enid, Theodore of Douglas, Wash.; Andrew of Fairmont; three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Polwort of Troy, Ill.; Mrs. Elizabeth Diven of Enid; and Mrs. Alvina Planetz of Waterville, Wash. Also 22 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the St. Paul's Lutheran church in Enid and the remains interred in the Zion cemetery near Fairmont.

Recent Deaths
MITTELSTEADT - A brief funeral service at the chapel of the Darnall Funeral Home Thursday afternoon preceded the regular service at St. Paul's Lutheran church, for Emilie Mittelsteadt, 1425 East Randolph, Rev. O.K. Hensel officiating, and burial was held in the Fairmont cemetery.
Mrs. Mittlesteadt died Monday morning at her home after a brief illness. She first came to Oklahoma in 1899 with her husband, and they settled on a farm 8 miles east of Enid. In 1914 she went to California and Washington and returned in 1926 to live in Enid.
She is survived by three sons, Martin of Enid; Ted of Douglas, Washington; Andrew of Fairmont; three daughters, Mrs. Paul Divens, Enid; Mrs. Henry Planetz, Waterville, Wash.; and Mrs. Fred Polwort, Troy, Ill.

Fairmont
Mrs. Emilie Mittlesteadt died at her home in Enid on Monday after a short illness, and was buried on Thursday in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. O.K. Hensel of Enid officiated. Mrs. Mittlesteadt is survived by three sons and three daughters.

Near Fairmont
A large number from Fairmont and vicinity attended the funeral services held for Mrs. Emelie Mittlesteadt, 75, at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Enid Thursday. Mrs. Mittlesteadt died Monday after a three days' illness from tonsillitis and complications. Her husband, Emil, preceded her in death on May 17 just after they had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. She is survived by three sons, Martin of Enid, Theodore of Douglas, Wash.; and Andrew of Fairmont; three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Polwort of Troy, Ill.; Mrs. Lizzie Divens of Enid; and Mrs. Alvina Planetz of Waterville, Wash.; also 22 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Following the funeral services, which were conducted by Rev. O. Hensel, the remains were interred in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Fairmont.
