Zion Lutheran Cemetery


ENID, Okla. - The funeral for Annabell Meyer, 81, of Fairmont, will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2013, at Zion Lutheran Church in Fairmont. The Rev. Timothy Dorsch will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with family will be 6:30-7:30 Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Annabell was born to Louis and Clara (Ahlefeld) Schroeder on a farm near Okarche February 4, 1932, and passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 in Enid.

Annabell started school in Okarche and moved with her parents to Kingfisher, graduating from Kingfisher High School in 1950.

On October 4, 1953, she married Leon Meyer. To this union, two daughters were born, Cheryl and Joyce.

Annabell worked at Sears in sales for 12 years and other businesses, including owning and operating her silk flower shop, Lee-Ann Flowers. After moving to Fairmont, Annabell was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was active in Thrivent and A.A.L. as branch secretary and lamplighter and also worked for Enid Cemetery and Brown Funeral Home.

She is survived by husband Leon; two daughters, Cheryl Meyer of Mulvane, Kansas, and Joyce Stowers and husband Gary of Yukon; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother Harold Schroeder of Oklahoma City.

Annabell was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
