Celebration of Life for Kevin A. Metcalf, 48, of Enid, is 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Pastor Kenneth Wade will officiate, with burial to follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Fairmont. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Monday, April 17, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Kevin died April 13, 2017, as a result of a heart attack. He was born July 30, 1968, the son of George and Delores (Benker) Metcalf. He attended Round Rock, Texas, area schools and graduated from Round Rock High School in 1986, where he was an athlete for the RRHS Dragons football and baseball teams. He attended Concordia Lutheran College in Austin, Texas, on a baseball scholarship as a pitcher. Kevin majored in business administration. After college, Kevin married Cheryl (Breitenkamp) Metcalf on May 23, 1992, at Zion Lutheran Church in Fairmont. The family grew bigger as they welcomed twin girls, Amanda and Megan, and then a son, Ryan. Kevin spent his days working hard to provide for his family and taking care of others. He spent extra time coaching softball, soccer, baseball, and basketball. He also enjoyed bowling in leagues, playing softball and golf. Kevin loved to entertain and make people laugh, which was accomplished each year at the Warrior Benefit tournaments.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, George and Delores Metcalf, and by his brother, Duane Metcalf.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Metcalf, and his three children, Amanda, Megan and Ryan, all of Enid. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harlo and Carol Breitenkamp, of Fairmont, and by many, many other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in Kevin's name be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
