A Celebration of Life for Rita L. Froemming, age 74, of Enid, is 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont, with Reverend Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Fairmont. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2017. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Rita was born January 16, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Julius and Lillian (Brassfield) Rheude, and passed away June 8, 2017, in Enid. She married Fred Froemming June 28, 1959, in DeLand, Florida, and then relocated to Enid, where they have made their home in the same house for the last 58 years. Rita was very outgoing and never met a stranger. She had a loving and giving spirit, never forgetting to send a birthday card, Christmas card, Valentine's Day or any holiday card to loved ones. She was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church on June 2, 1961, and was a member at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Redeemer Lutheran Church in Enid.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and a sister.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Froemming, of the home in Enid; two children, Thomas Froemming and Kathy Froemming Hansen, both of Enid; brother, Jim Rheude, of Indianapolis, IN; sister-in-law, Faye Gash, of Fairmont; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. She also leaves her beloved dog Molly and grand-dog Reese and grand-cat Blue.

Memorials in Rita's name may be made to Enid SPCA or charity of your choice, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

May 2, 1937 - June 26, 2021

A Celebration of Life for Fred Froemming, age 84, of Enid, is 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont, with Reverend Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Fairmont. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Fred was born May 2, 1937, in Fairmont to Adolph C. and Esther D. (Timm) Froemming, and passed away June 26, 2021, in Enid.

He graduated from Garber High School in 1955 and immediately entered the Navy. Fred married Rita Rheude June 28, 1959, in DeLand, Florida, and then relocated to Enid, where they have made their home in the same house for 58 years. He was well known at Vance AFB. Fred has served there for 60 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Rita.

Fred is survived by his two children, Thomas Froemming and Kathy Froemming Hansen, both of Enid; sister, Faye Gash, of Fairmont; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Memorials can be made to the charity of your choice with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
