Zion Lutheran Cemetery


October 18, 1930 - April 10, 2021

Celebration of Life Service for Wandalene Free, 90 of Enid, will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery at Fairmont under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Wandalene was born October 18, 1930 in Fairmont, OK to Ewald and Hilda (Eggers) Leseberg and passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021.

Wandalene graduated from Garber High School. On November 20, 1949, she married Charles E. Free in Fairmont, Oklahoma. She worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell. Wandalene was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for over 50 years, where she belonged to the LWML. She enjoyed going to church, playing cards, most of all spending time with family and friends. Wandalene was one of the most giving, kindest, and generous person always putting others before herself.

Wandalene is survived by her children Robert Free and Charlette McNeal; her 2 grandchildren Bo Dean Free and Michael McNeal; brother Louis Leseberg; and sister Mary Gressett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, brothers Robert, Donald, and Howard and sister Etta.

Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She was a faithful and true servant of the Lord.
