The funeral for Lilly D. Eggers, 98, of Fairmont, will be 2 p.m. today, May 12, 2009, at Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont. The Rev. Timothy Dorsch will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery . Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
She was born Aug. 20, 1910, in Fairmont to Herman and Minnie Timm and died Saturday, May 9, 2009, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
She grew up in Fairmont, where she attended Zion Lutheran School.
She married Clarence Eggers Nov. 5, 1933, in Fairmont. She lived and worked on the farm until his death on April 15, 1973. She later moved to Greenbrier Nursing Home. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont.
Surviving are her children, Calvin C. Eggers of Fairmont and Jane A. Diel of Enid; one sister, Ester Froemming of Fairmont; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Clarence, she was preceded in death by one son, three brothers and one grandson.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, cancer or heart division, or the charity of donor's choice.
