FAIRMONT — Funeral service for Arlo W. Breitenkamp, 74, of Fairmont, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont, with Rev. Timothy Dorsch officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
He was born Aug. 17, 1936, in Enid, Okla., to Arnold and Ida Sattelmeier Breitenkamp and passed away Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
He was raised in Fairmont and graduated from Garber High School. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1958 and was discharged in 1962.
He married Patsy Stapleton in July 1958.
Arlo drove a truck for R.C. Bottle Co. and Gold Spot Dairy and later worked for Fairmont Coop.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Roadrunners Square Dance Club.
Arlo is survived by his children, Terry and wife Cathy Breitenkamp of Enid and Lynn Lindell and husband Daryl of Pond Creek; two grandchildren, James and Jeffrey Lindell; two brothers, Harlo Breitenkamp and wife Carol and Gene Breitenkamp and wife Cathy, all of Fairmont; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
