J.C. was born on February 1, 1939 in Enid to John F. and Christina (Feil) Pralle and died on November 5, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.
He grew up on the family farm and went to school at Fairmont through the 8th grade. J.C. then graduated from Garber High School. He went to Oklahoma State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics. On September 3, 1961, he married Velda Willms in Kingfisher and they made their first home in Stillwater. They made their home on the family farm at Fairmont. J.C. was a 3rd generation farmer instilling his knowledge and work ethic into another 3 generations of young farmers, who took pride in the value of Gods land!
He was the family's personal encyclopedia and economist keeping us up to speed on market futures and the current state of the world's economy. J.C. could come off stern and hard headed, but deep down had the gentlest heart. He took pride in his grandkids and great grandkids and everything they did! J.C. was a steward of the land. He was also a carpenter and member of Zion Lutheran Church, and all of his knowledge will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John F. and Christina Pralle; sisters, Geraldine Lewis and Janette Sneary.
He is survived by his wife, Velda; children and spouses, Lynette and Ken Davidson and Jon and Jodeana Pralle; five grandchildren, Jared and Amy Pralle, Jennifer Pralle, Janelle Pralle, Rachel Davidson and Jon Davidson; two great grandchildren, Karstyn and Jensen Pralle; other relatives and friends.
