John F. Kuhnemund, 79, 1802 Field Dr., died Wednesday in a local hospital. His funeral will be Saturday at 10 AM in Lahoma Lutheran Church with the Rev. Theodore Werfelman and the Rev. Clarence L. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Kuhnemund was born January 28, 1897, in Bassett, Nebraska. He came to Oklahoma with his parents and settled in the Lahoma community. Six years ago, he moved to Enid from Lahoma. He married Marie Rathjen November 30, 1922.
A retired farmer, Kuhnemund was a veteran of World War I, serving with the Army, and a member of the American Legion and Lahoma Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marie, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Glen (Marcella) Dykes, Burneville, Minnesota, Mrs. Delmer (Velma Jean) Kehn, Haysville, Kansas, and Mrs. Leroy (Leadell) Grauberger, Enid; three sons, Vernon and Kenneth, both of Lahoma, and John Jr., Enid; 12 grandchildren; four great – grandchildren; two brothers, Henry, Lahoma, and Ernest, Tulsa; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Nolting, Lahoma, and Mrs. Clara Poppe, Chester, Nebraska.
