Zion Lutheran Cemetery


The funeral for Victor H. Frey, 91, of Enid, will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Zion Lutheran Church, Lahoma. The Rev. Eric Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery . Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

He was born Oct. 13, 1917, in Lahoma to Chris and Lydia Rausch Frey and died Saturday, May 2, 2009 in Enid.

He graduated from Lahoma High School. He married France Wehrman Jan. 10, 1942. She died Oct. 13, 2004.

He served in the Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945 in Italy, Africa, France and Sicily.

He worked for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kan., and later moved back to Lahoma area to farm. He also worked for Dyche's Implement in Carrier for more than 20 years. He moved to Enid in 1986.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lahoma, where he was an elder and a member of Zion Lutheran Men's Club. He served on Carrier school board and Carrier elevator board.

Surviving are one son, Loren Frey of Lahoma, and one grandson.

In addition to his wife, Frances, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter and one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Zion Lutheran Church.
