Zion Lutheran Cemetery



The funeral service for Julia Ann Burnett, age 63, of Lahoma, will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma, with Rev. Eric Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Julie was born to John and Betty (Reese) Bowen on October 16, 1949, in Peoria, Illinois, and passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at her home in Lahoma.

Julie moved to Lahoma and met the love of her life, Jerry Burnett. They were married on June 2, 1971, and celebrated 41 years of marriage. Julie enjoyed raising her three children, loved gardening, and spending time with family. She was a Christian lady and a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Julie is survived by husband Jerry of the home; three children, Renia Newell and husband Butch of Wewoka, Dennis Burnett and wife Jodi of Ringwood, Jereamy Burnett and wife Rachelle of Lahoma; seven grandchildren, Zachary, Brooke, Cortney, Kennedi, Brylee, Kassadi, and Bridget; three brothers, Harlan Smith of Tennessee, Ladell Elliott of Stillwater, and Joe Deghi of Tulsa.

She was preceded in death by her parents
