Graveside service for Sandy L. Young, 64-year-old Hunter, Okla., resident, will be 10 a.m. today, Sept. 27, 2014, at White Cemetery, Hunter. The Rev. Gail Edmison will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Sandy was born Oct. 27, 1949, in Chillicothe, Mo., to Levi and Tootie (Burton) Dudley and died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at her home in Hunter.
In 1968, she married Gary D. Sharp in Chillicothe, Mo. In 1975, the family moved to Enid, where Sandy worked as a nurse aide at St. Mary’s Hospital for almost 35 years. After retirement, she enjoyed crochet and spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Balytine and husband Jerry of Chillicothe, Mo.; sons, Darin Sharp and wife Terry of Enid, Todd Sharp and wife Caryn of North Carolina, and Paul Sharp and wife Amber of Yukon, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon Horton and Jody Anderson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made in her name to Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
