ENID, Okla. — Funeral for Georgia IvaDell Wilson will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at Hunter Christian Church. Burial will precede the service at 10 a.m. at Hunter White Cemetery. The Rev. Don Johnson will officiate. There will be a visitation with family on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.
IvaDell was born Feb. 22, 1922, in Pryor, Okla., to Claude and Sarah (Beggs) Henson and passed away Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, in Enid.
She graduated from Hunter High School in 1940.
She married Thomas George Wilson March 18, 1942. They made their home in Hunter, Okla., until 1973, when they moved to Enid.
They owned and operated the Hunter Café and Wilson Grocery and Feed Store.
IvaDell also was employed by Evans Drug, Long Bell Lumber Company, Montgomery Ward and retired from Phillips University after 17 years as an assistant to the registrar.
IvaDell loved people, liked to bake, especially pastries, oil paintings, and in her later years made greeting cards for family and friends.
IvaDell was a member of Hunter Christian Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 64 years, Thomas G. Wilson, and a son, Stephen L. Wilson.
She is survived by daughter-in-law, Linda Wilson of Pond Creek, daughter, Karen Thomas and husband Edward and grandchildren, Traci Tabyanan and husband Marc of Oklahoma City and Trenton Thomas of Irving, Texas.
Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to Hospice Circle of Love or Hunter Christian Church.
