Garber – Services for Ladd Vencl, 82, longtime Garber area farmer, will be at 10:30 AM Friday in the Garber Christian Church with the Rev. Jeff Knighton officiating. Burial will be in the White Cemetery, Hunter, under the direction of the Anderson – Reevis Funeral Home of Garber.

Vencl was born July 24, 1904, on the family farm North West of Garber and died Wednesday evening in an Enid hospital. He attended Rosewood Rural School and graduated from Garber High School.

Vencl and Maude Barnett were married July 27, 1927, at Medford.

He was a member of the Garber Christian Church, the I00F Lodge, the board of the Garber Co-Op and was a 50 – year member of WFLA.

Vencl is survived by his wife of the home; two sons, Tony of Garber and Robert of Cyril; two sisters, Mildred Brunken of Glencoe and Anna Karban of Oklahoma City; a brother, Jim of Stillwater; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

The casket will be open before the service.

Memorials may be made to the GEMS of Garber, with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund
