Funeral for Mr. Charles Eugene Kerfoot, 78, of Perry will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015, in First Christian Church of Perry, Okla., with Rev. Martin Foster officiating. Burial will follow in White Cemetery in Hunter, Okla.
He was born June 21, 1936, in Hunter and moved with his family at an early age to Lahoma, where he was raised. He died Wednesday, April 15, 2015.
He graduated from Lahoma High school in 1954. He worked at his family’s meat locker plant in Garber.
He married Verna Mae Peterson in 1956, and from this union had three daughters.
He continued to work as a meat market manager at several locations for more than 50 years.
He married Mary “Dorsey” Dec. 31, 1971, in Midwest City.
He was a member of Perry Elks Lodge, First Christian Church and Elks Camping Club. He loved going to the family cabin at Lake Eufaula and most of all being with his family.
He is survived by his wife Mary of the home; daughters, Kathy Kerfoot of Meno and Carol Carpenter and husband Mark of Enid; stepdaughter Redessa Brooks of Newalla; stepson Gene Ramsey and wife Elaine of Yukon; eight grandchildren, Ali Jo Carpenter, Jonathon Carpenter, Josh Brooks, Lindsey Brooks, Dustin Brooks, Kyler Rodrick, Charlie Ramsey and Brayden Ramsey; and great-grandchildren, Connor Reece Abernathy and Logan Jo Abernathy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Isabel; two sisters, Helen and Alta Mae; one brother, James; his beloved daughter, Connie Jo Kerfoot; and grandson Craig Carpenter.
