The Funeral services celebrating and honoring the life of Ulman Chism, 87, of Hunter will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 25, 2019 in the United Methodist Church of Hunter with Pastor Mary Truitt officiating. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery in Hunter. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born March 21, 1932 in Forty-Four, Arkansas and passed from this life on May 18, 2019 in Arkansas.
He was raised in Calico, Arkansas and married Elwanda Mae Borst at Calico Rock, Arkansas on October 9. 1963. She died on April 30, 2006. He worked for Bridge Construction and the oil fields. He worked for Farmer’s Coop in Hunter for seven years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and being an outdoorsman. He loved sweets, gardening and absolutely loved his family.
He is survived by daughters, Thelma Hutson, of Salem, Arkansas, Diane L. Pacula of Hunter, Oklahoma, and Tammie Fain, of Enid, Oklahoma, son, Raymond Chism, of Hunter, Oklahoma, brothers, Doug Chism, of Great Bend, Kansas and Jim Chism, of California, twenty-five grandchildren, fifty-seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers Howard, William, and Roland, and sister Versie.
