A Celebration of Life for Victor W. Wylie, 71, of Enid, will be Saturday, May 7, 2016, 12 Noon at the Waukomis Cemetery with Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Mr. Wylie was born August 29, 1944 and passed away April 28, 2016. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Victor was a graduate of John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City, OK, the class of 1963. In 1968, he graduated from Central State University receiving his BS degree in Business Administration and minor in Accounting and English. He was a partner with his brother and father at Wylie’s Gulf Station and Wrecker Service. He served in the United States Army, stationed at Ft. Sam Houston Texas with the rank of E4 from 1970 to 1976.
After his return from the service he worked at Vance Air Force Base as a Draftsman and Tool Room Monitor in the tire shop for 37 years until he retired in 2010. He enjoyed racing with his best friend Doc E.K. Recknagle where he met the love of his life and wife of twenty years, Sandra Kay Kruppe, they were married August 26, 1984 and she preceded him in death March 16, 2004.
Survivors include a step-son Michael Irons of Waukomis, a step-daughter, Michelle Porter and her husband Clifford of Enid, six grandchildren, Shannon Tice and her husband Michael, Paul Porter and his wife Ashley, Billy Buller Jr., Randy Porter, David Irons and Adrianna Irons, seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Barbara Lee of Sarasota, Florida, a brother, Richard Wylie and his wife Charlotte of Oklahoma City, OK and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
