A graveside service for Alma Woodson, 94, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. today in Waukomis Cemetery. The Rev. Tommy Donaldson will officiate. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
She was born Jan. 13, 1912, in Lamont to Eddie Samuel and Anita Mabel Knepley Smith and died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital.
She graduated from Oklahoma College for Women and taught school at Webb City, Pioneer, Covington and Enid public schools.
She married James Richard Woodson Sept. 5, 1936, in El Reno. They lived on the family farm in the Pioneer community. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Priscilla Home Demonstration Club, Oklahoma Education Association, National Educa-tion Association and Oklahoma Retired Teachers.
Surviving are one son, Gary of Silsbee, Texas; a daughter, Brenda Vanover of Waukomis; four grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James, her twin sister, a brother and a great-grandson.
