The funeral service for Huey Allen Vaughn, 73, will be 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with the Rev. Coy Everett officiating. Burial will be in Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Contributions may be given to the Children's Cancer Center with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds. Condolences may be sent to ladusauevans@sud denlinkmail.com.

Huey was born Aug. 4, 1936, in Kilgore, Texas, to Leonard and Alta Mae Jackson Vaughn. He passed away Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.

He married Doris Aulston Oct. 21, 1958, in Okmulgee, Okla. He worked in the oil fields for several years until employment at Vance Air Force Base in 1967. He worked as a jet mechanic at Vance, retiring in 2000.

He was a member of First Assembly of God Church. He loved to take his early morning walk at Oakwood Mall with all of his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Don Vaughn, Jimmy Vaughn, Leroy Vaughn and RV Vaughn; five sisters, Ida Mae Hunter, Martha Beene, Low Owens, Opal Wright and Gertrude Marshal.

He is survived by his wife, Doris, of the home; a son, Terry Vaughn and wife Jill; two daughters, Carlene Latta and husband Larry and Charlene Caudill and husband Gary; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie Vaughn and Raymond Vaughn; and sister, Ann Churchill.

A Celebration of Life service for Doris E. Vaughn, age 76, of Onaga, KS, formerly of Enid, will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Doris was born September 30, 1941, in Cortez, CO, to Lonnie and Rosie Gilliland Aulston and passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 in Onaga, KS. She grew up in Cortez and attended school. Doris married Huey Vaughn on October 21, 1958, in Okmulgee, OK, and he passed away August 11, 2009. They moved to Enid in 1967. She worked at Vance Air Force Base in the mail room as a mail carrier until she retired in 2005. She attended First Assembly of God Church.

Doris is survived by her son Terry Vaughn and wife Jill of Onaga, KS, two daughters Carlene Latta of OKC and Charlene Caudill and husband Gary of Carlisle, Ohio, 7 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, and sister Della Richardson of Tempe, AZ.

Memorials may be made to OMRF-Cancer Division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
