The Graveside service honoring and celebrating the life of Jack C. Umdenstock, 74, of Waukomis will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday October 11, 2021, in the Waukomis Cemetery with Bud Laubach officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born to Leo and Velma Pickelsimer Umdenstock September 4, 1947, in Enid and passed from this life October 7, 2021, at his home with his family by his side.
He was raised and educated in Enid graduating from Enid High in 1965. He then went to work for Clinesmith Furniture as a salesman. He married the love of his life Sharon Noland June 20, 1970. He then went to work for Nicholas Home Builders before starting his own business Jack’s Home Improvement in 1983. He owned and operated his company for 26 years until his retirement in 2009.
He was a very gifted wood worker. He enjoyed fishing, hunting dove and pheasant, golf, the Colorado Mountains but most of all he enjoyed his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of the home, his daughter Julie Shaffer and her husband Billy of Talala, OK., His son Jeremy Umdenstock of Bentonville Ark., his five grandchildren Chloe, Colton, Luke, Cade, and Sam; and his brother Paul and wife Jan Umdenstock of Stockton California
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made in his name to Hospice Circle of Love or the Waukomis Christian Church of Waukomis with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
