Waukomis Cemetery


November 10, 1932 - August 28, 2019

The Funeral services celebrating and honoring the life of Raymond Franklin Suenram, 86, of Enid will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday September 04, 2019 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chuck Kearney officiating. Burial will follow in the Waukomis Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Army Honor Guard. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born November 10, 1932 on the family farm near Bison, OK. to Elgin and Edna (Seney) Suenram and passed from this life on August 28, 2019 in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Bison, OK., graduating from Waukomis High School in 1952. He then joined the United States Army after graduation and served until December 01, 1954. He married Virginia (Hall) and from this union three children were born, Rayma Lee, Ramona Renee and Monty Ray. He moved with his family to Enid and worked for Culligan Water. He later divorced and then moved to Lancaster, California. He then married JoAnn (Green) and added Julie Ann, Ralph Keith, Marvin Timothy, Kelly Jane to his family. From this union Marcee Ann was born. Raymond loved his family and raised all eight children himself. He worked for over sixteen years first for McDonnel-Douglas in the maintenance department, then as a carpenter, and then the lead man over the maintenance department. He worked these jobs all while making custom cabinets. Following he worked for a furniture manufacturing company making Windsor chairs. In 1990 he moved home to Bison, OK. to be close to family and became a custom cabinet builder and also worked restoring antique furniture. He was a volunteer for Wheatheart Nutrition, delivering meals to the senior citizens of Drummond, OK.

He is survived by his children, Rayma Lee, Ramona Renee, Monty Ray, Julie Ann, Ralph Keith, Marvin Timothy, Kelly Jane, and Marcee Jackson and husband Shane, two brothers, four sisters, fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Virginia (Hall), wife JoAnn (Green), one brother and two sisters.
