The service celebrating the life of Mr. Gary Smith, 77, Enid, is 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, in the Waukomis Christian Church with David Jones officiating. Burial follows in the Waukomis Cemetery. Service is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born in Waukomis to Eugene and Gertrude (Wilkins) Smith Oct. 18, 1939. He was a member of Waukomis Christian Church. He was raised in Waukomis and graduated from Waukomis High School. He went to Okmulgee Tech and worked as a typesetter at the Enid News & Eagle until his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf until he was physically unable. He served in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by son, Ron Donaghue, of Waukomis; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Patricia; and son Jerry Donaghue.

He was a member of Waukomis Christian Church. He was raised in Waukomis and graduated from Waukomis High School. He went to Okmulgee Tech and worked as a Type Setter at the Enid News Eagle until his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf until he was physical unable. He served in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by son Ron Donaghue of Waukomis, four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
