The Mass of Christian Burial for Lillian Marie Simunek, 91 of Waukomis will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 16, 2016 in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev. Aaron Foshee officiating. Burial will follow in the Waukomis Cemetery. A Rosary will be conducted by Alex Kroll 6:00 PM, Friday, July 15, 2016 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral.
Lillian was born September 12, 1924 on the family farm to James and Mary Fuxa Taborsky and passed away July 12, 2016 in Oklahoma City. She attended school the at Happy Valley Country School and stayed home on the family farm. November 16, 1948 she married Albert Simunek at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bison, Oklahoma. She enjoyed the special times with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lillian is survived by her son Leonard Simunek of Waukomis; grandchildren, Andrew & wife Stacie of Kingfisher, their children Griffin and David, Rebecca Donnell & husband Nicholas of Edmond, their children Ryan Marie and Bode, David Simunek & wife Melissa of Samara, Costa Rica and their child Sunday Lillian
Lillian was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Joe Taborsky, James Taborsky; sister, Matilda Greer
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or Hospice Circle of Love with Brown-Cummings as custodian.
