The community was saddened Saturday evening by the report of the death of Carlin Robinett which occurred at Hayward. He was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Robinett, and had lived in Garfield county all his life. Carlin was a member of the Douglas High School senior class of 1928 and had the honor of being the youngest boy graduated from the school. He was beloved and honored by his superintendent, teachers and all the class mates. His untimely death cast a gloom over the entire student body, and he will be greatly missed among the young people of the community. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at the Schaeffer Funeral Home at Enid and burial was in the Waukomis cemetery. Pall bearers were selected from among the student body of the school which he seemed to love dearly, being, Keith Cook, Ralph Lizar, Buford Dishman, Homer Cox, Chess Leabo, and Will Atkins. The family have the sympathy of the entire community.
Carlin Robinette, 18 years old, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Edger Robinette of Hayward, for years residents of this community, was instantly killed Saturday evening when struck by a car on the highway near Hayward. He is survived by his parents and three younger brothers. Mr. and Mrs. Robinette have the heartfelt sympathy of a host of friends and old neighbors in this vicinity in their terrible loss.
