Graveside service celebrating the life of Margie Pearson, 89, Enid, originally from Waukomis, is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018, at the Waukomis Cemetery, with the Rev. Dave Jones officiating.
Margie passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018, in Enid. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Margie was born in Perry, Oklahoma, on May 26, 1929. She was placed in an orphan home in Helena, and was adopted by Anna and Emerson Unruh in July of 1930. Margie attended school in Lahoma and graduated in May of 1947.
She worked for Northrup at Vance Air Force Base for 25 years before retiring in 1991. After retiring, she enjoyed meeting new people by sewing for numerous brides and other individuals.
She was also an active member of the Waukomis Christian Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, youth leader and served on the church board as a diaconate.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents, Emerson and Anna Unruh; her husband Charles Pearson; sister, Joyce Goodnight; and brother Leo Unruh.
Margie is survived by her daughter, Connie Brickman and husband Gary of Enid; two grandchildren, Shelley Kays and her spouse Jason of Oklahoma City; and Jason Brickman and his spouse Jennifer of Enid; five great-grandchildren, Parker and Abbey Kays and Garrett, Hudson and Jaxon Brickman.
