Wanda Beatrice Oldridge was called home by her Savior on Monday, Sept. 28, 2009. The service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Marsalis officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery .
Wanda was born to Ray and Lucille Harris Cox on Nov. 3, 1936, in Manchester, Okla.
She lived in Oklahoma most of her life. Wanda began her working career as owner and operator of Dairy Snack in Wakita. Through the years, she waitressed at various businesses, was an in-home caregiver, and retired from EcoWater in 2006 due to ill health.
On Oct. 21, 1996, she married Charles Oldridge in Troy, Kan. They made their home in Enid. For enjoyment, Wanda liked to play Bingo, read Louis L' Amour books and play cards, but most of all she loved being surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband, Charles, of the home; daughters, Sheila and husband Rick Green of Enid, Debra and husband Bob Perry of Waukomis, Janet Anderson of Enid, and Cynthia Arias of Kansas; two sons, Tom Koehler and wife Becki of Enid and Steven Yadon and wife Vickie of Weatherford; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Loraine Mitchell of Enid; and many other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, L.C. Pritchett; infant daughter; and son-in-law, Butch Anderson.
The family wishes to thank Hospice Circle of Love for their extraordinary care and compassion. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Circle of Love through Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Wanda holds a special place in her family's hearts. "We all love you Momma." Thank you for giving us your best always.
