DRUMMOND — Funeral services for Bobbie Jo McClanahan, 86, Drummond, will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, in Waukomis Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Gordon Epps officiating.
Committal prayers and interment will follow under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Visitation with the family will be from 6-7 p.m. tonight at Stittsworth’s.
Bobbie was born on Jan. 9, 1926, on the family farm in Waukomis, the daughter of Ava Eugene and Grace Hull Isbell, and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at her daughter’s residence.
She was raised and educated in Waukomis, graduating from Waukomis High School with the class of 1944.
She worked as an operator for Vance Air Force Base, later meeting and marrying Wayne McClanahan on July 20, 1948, in Waukomis.
She was a lifelong farmer’s wife and affiliated with Waukomis Christian Church.
Survivors include her son, Roger McClanahan of Drummond; daughter, Judy (Mark) Willard of Lahoma; grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Wagner of Waukomis, Jandra (Casey) Lee of Waukomis, Jason McClanahan of Drummond, Shawn (Brandy) Rogers of Enid, Krystle (Randy) Bradley of Ames, and Summer McClanahan of Drummond; great-grandchildren, Caity, Devin, Jayelyn, Dillon, Draven, Devon, Daylynn, Destiny, Degan, Dierra, Cherokee, Dustin, Jeremy, Jerry, Ashlyn, Krysten, Kenzie and Peyton. Bobbie Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, in 2000; her parents; brother, Bill and sister, Thelma Jean Coffin.
The family has selected Waukomis Cemetery Building Fund, Hospice Circle of Love, or OMRF,Cancer Division, as appropriate for memorial donations with the Stittsworth’s coordinating. Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
