Waukomis – The funeral for Auris Dea Isbell, 84, who died Wednesday at Bass Baptist Hospital in Enid, will be at 2 PM Friday at Waukomis Christian Church. The Rev. Paul Hopkins will officiate. Burial will be in the Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.
The casket will be open at the church but will be closed after the service.
He was born October 14, 1905, in Waukomis to R. Eugene and Hannah Isbell. He attended Waukomis schools and was a lifelong farmer in the Waukomis community.
He and Dorothy Mylar were married October 11, 1933, in Muskogee. They lived west of Waukomis where they farmed. He also sold insurance for many years, representing the Farmer's Union Insurance Company, and was a member of Waukomis Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Lonie of Dover, Jon and Scott, both of Waukomis; one brother, Paul of Waukomis; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to the churches building fund.
