January 20, 1948 - November 03, 2018

Celebration of Life services for JoAnn Hromas, 70, of Waukomis, is 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018, in First Assembly of God Church with Pastors Dan Barrick and BJ Barrick officiating.

Burial follows in Waukomis Cemetery, under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Visitation with the family is 5:00-6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, November 7, 2018, at the funeral home.

JoAnn was born January 20, 1948, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Tine and Velma Sanders Karr, and went home to be with her Savior on November 3, 2018, at her home with her family by her side.

JoAnn grew up in many places following her father's military career.

On July 22, 1966, she married James Michael Hromas in Enid. They made their home in Waukomis.

JoAnn worked as a secretary for Landwehr Motor Company for 13 years, Janzen Olds for three-and-a-half years, three years for Phillips University, and 16 years for First Assembly of God Church.

She loved working for her church and serving people through her jobs and working for her Lord and Savior-Jesus.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, James of the home; two daughters, Janice and husband Gary Mason, and Jennifer Hromas; four grandchildren, Nicole and Andrew Mason, Cassandra Taylor, Zachary Sellars; three great-grandchildren, Emery and Elijah Taylor, and Misty Mason; two brothers, John and Jack Karr; other relatives and many friends.

Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God Missions, Peru, through the funeral home.
