Waukomis Cemetery


Mrs. Rose R. Harshfield, 78, 615 W. Maple, died at her home Friday. Her service will be at 3 PM Tuesday in Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert DeMoss and Rev. James A. Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Waukomis Cemetery under direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harshfield was born and reared on a farm east of Waukomis and attended schools in that community. The former Rose Ruth Jung, she married Clarence Harshfield December 25, 1926, at Waukomis. The couple lived in Chickasha until returning to Waukomis in 1931. They moved to Enid in 1935 where she had since lived. He died in 1959.

Mrs. Harshfield was a member of Central United Methodist Church, and had been employed at Southern Florist for a number of years, later working at Davis Paint Store until her retirement.

Survivors include one son, Charles L., Reno, Nevada; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Cannon, Waukomis, and Miss Leda Jung, Los Angeles, California; four grandchildren; and two great – grandchildren.
