A Celebration of Life for Eric Lee Houston, age 46, of Enid, is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Pentecostals of Enid Church, with Pastor Curt Green officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Eric was born on November 18, 1974, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Johnny and Brenda (Godbey) Houston, and passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, in Enid.
He attended Waukomis and Drummond Public Schools, where he played little league football. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his cousins and friends. He started his own construction business, Houston's Solutions, doing remodel and custom work. He loved camping, fishing, cooking out on the grill and being with family and friends.
Eric is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Mancil Houston and Madeline Gordon; maternal grandparents, Roy and Clella (Callahan) Godbey; cousin, Joey Reed; and uncle, Don Reed. He is survived by his parents, Johnny and Brenda (Godbey) Houston, of Enid; two children, Gage Baker Houston and Elizabeth (Edison) Houston, both of Enid; fiance, Laura Oldham, of Enid; as well as other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions in Eric's name may be made to the Pentecostals of Enid Church, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
