The funeral service celebrating the life of Rick Fagan will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018 at First United Methodist Church of Enid. Graveside will follow at Waukomis Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the funeral home.
Rick was born September 29, 1950 in Gorman, Texas to Therman and Myrlene Fagan, and passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, in Enid. He married Judy Minton on March 25, 1972.
Rick graduated from the 32nd Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy in 1974 and was assigned to the Guthrie Detachment of District I. He spent the majority of his 33year career in Enid, assigned to Troop J. Rick rose to the rank of Captain, served as Troop J Commander, and retired in 2006. Following retirement he worked for Northwestern Oklahoma State University and accepted the Garfield County Undersheriff position in 2014
Rick was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother, Randy. He is survived by his wife, Judy of Enid; daughter Julie Thibodeau and husband Jason of Stillwater; son James Fagan and wife Erin of Alexandria, Virginia; three grandchildren, Seth, Joshua, and Karis Thibodeau; two nephews, Chris and Michael Fagan; and niece, Sarah Rhuems.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Rick’s name to the OHP Cadet Lawman Academy and First United Methodist Church.
