The funeral for Anita Kathryn Eckhardt, 71 year-old Enid resident is at 10:00AM Thursday, October 24, 2024 in the Waukomis Christian Church. Pastor Dave Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. A visitation with family will be Wednesday from 5PM-7PM in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.
Anita was born July 9, 1953 in Enid to H.E. and Alice (Seapy) Peters and died Wednesday, October 16, 2024 in St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
She attended school at Douglas and Pioneer, graduating with the class of 1971. She then attended OSU.
On August 12, 1972 she married Ronnie Eckhardt in Douglas, OK. The couple made their home in Waukomis. She began her career at Enid Production Credit, which became Chisholm Trail Farm, Credit. She retired after 44 years of service. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Anita is survived by her husband Ronnie of the home, son Ryan Eckhardt and wife Melissa of Bartlesville, her daughters, Kari Pratt and husband Jeff of Stillwater and Rebecca Hicks and husband Allen of Enid, 8 grandchildren; Madison, Kate, and Kenzie Eckhardt, Bradyn and Mason Pratt, and Rylie, Trey, and Allie Hicks. Also surviving are one sister Margaret Felber and one brother Eddie Peters.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Waukomis Christian Church.
