ENID — Funeral service for Thelma M. Cross Grady, 80, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Wade Burleson officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
She was born May 16, 1932, in Hen-nessey to Clarence and Nola Frank Wehling and died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at GreenbrierSkilled Nursing Facility.
She grew up in Hennessey, attended Pioneer-Pleasant Vale School and graduated from Hennessey High School.
On June 24, 1950, she married Jack Cross in Hennessey. Jack preceded her in death on June 22, 1998.
She was a secretary in the accounting department of Champlin Oil Co. for many years.
In June 1999, she married Bud Grady.
She was a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and an avid prayer warrior for her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Bud; son, Donnie Cross and wife Karon of Enid; daughters, Patsy Spray and husband Clark of Enid, Beverly Anderson of Enid, and Nancy Ballard of Enid; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; stepson, Richard Grady and wife JoDean of Blanchard; two step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, one granddaughter, and one grandson.
Memorials in her memory may be made to New York Graffiti Ministry with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
