Funeral services for James Chesnut were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Waukomis Methodist Church under direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

He was born July 31,1922 and died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the age of 99.

James was married to Jodean Rapp on April 13, 1943, in Neosho, Mo.

He served in the US Army during World War ll.

To this union was born a son Timothy Allen and Kathryn Ann Chesnut.

He is survived by his wife Jodean, son Tim and daughter Kathi.

Memorial service for Jodean Chesnut will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Waukomis United Methodist Church. Burial of the cremains in Waukomis Cemetery. Family visitation 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Jodean was born Aug. 7, 1923, in Enid, Okla., to Charles Ernest and Dessie Mae Taylor Rapp and died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Golden Oaks Village.

Jodean married James Jay Chesnut April 13, 1943, in Neosho, Mo. Surviving are son, Tim Chesnut and wife Thelma; daughter, Kathi Chesnut; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceded by husband, Jay, two sisters, one brother and two grandchildren.
