A Celebration of Life for Mary Etta Boese, age 78, of Enid, is 2 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2016, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Vernon Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Mary was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on December 15, 1938, to Ralph Bowers and Lona (Roark) Bowers and passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016, in Enid. She married Alvin Boese on November 3, 1963 in Las Vegas. They celebrated 46 years of marriage prior to Alvin's passing in 2011. She was the owner and operator of Mary's Upholstery Shop in Waukomis for many years. Mary's faith was very important to her; she loved the Lord and read her Bible daily.
She is survived by four children, daughter Kimberly Bennett and husband Robert of Kingfisher, Terry Caldwell and Tony Caldwell, both of Enid, Amanda Boese of Enid; sister, Lou Smith of Enid; stepchildren, Louise Huskey and husband Kenny, of Apple Valley, CA, Tom Boese of Wellston, OK; four stepgrandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and other family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Lona Bowers; husband Alvin Boese; two sons, Ronnie Caldwell and Marty Boese; three brothers, Hobert, Ronald and Jerry.
Memorials in Mary's name may be made to Hospice Circle of Love, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of funds.
