ENID — Funeral service for Roy “Tommy” Barnes Jr., 89, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Graber officiating. Burial will be in Waukomis Cemetery. Visitation with family will be 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Tommy was born Jan. 19, 1922, to Roy and Nelle (Anderson) Barnes at the family home south of Pioneer School.

He graduated from Pioneer High School in 1940.

Tommy served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945, spending six months in the Pacific Theater.

On Jan. 1, 1944, he married Erma Lois Wyman.

Upon his discharge from the Navy, Tommy and Lois made their home in the Pioneer community, where they farmed until retirement in 1984. In their retirement years, they traveled extensively, visiting Europe, Mexico, Canada, and 49 of the United States.

Tommy died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, at the age of 89.

He is survived by his wife, Lois of Enid; son, Steve Barnes of Douglas; daughters, Janet and Dale Houska of Ardmore, LaDonna and Mike Houts of Stillwater, and Lisa and Greg Haub of Douglas; six grandchildren, Brad Houska, Matt and Keri Houts, Mark and Beth Houts, Shea Barnes, April (Haub) and Kyle Maly, and Shelby Haub; and five great-grandchildren, Payne, Gabe and Ella Houts, Gemma Houts and Annabelle Lois Maly.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dave and Bill Barnes; and sister, Ethel Mae Wyman.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Valley Christian Union Church, Hospice Circle of Love, or Pioneer Academic Foundation.

November 28, 1923 - October 23, 2018

Funeral service for Lois Barnes, 94, will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Waukomis Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Lois was born November 28, 1923 to Carl and Bertha (Ging) Wyman in Aline. Lois graduated from Enid High School in 1942. On January 1, 1944, she married Roy Tommy Barnes, Jr., who was serving in the U.S. Navy. After his discharge in 1945, Tommy and Lois made their home in the Pioneer community, where they farmed until retirement in 1984. Lois loved being a farmers wife, a homemaker, a mom, and granny. She was dedicated to her family and to her Lord. Lois passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the age of 94.

She is survived by one son Steve Barnes of Douglas; daughters Janet and Dale Houska of Vernon, Texas, LaDonna and Mike Houts of Stillwater, and Lisa and Greg Haub of Douglas; six grandchildren Brad and Ashley Houska, Matt and Keri Houts, Mark and Beth Houts, Shea Barnes, April (Haub) and Kyle Maly, and Shelby (Haub) and Steven Gregory; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Barnes, her parents, and two sisters Christine Campbell and Gladys Hesser.
