Services for Bertha Mae Atkinson, 91, Long Beach, California, who died Saturday evening will be 2 PM Wednesday in the Hennger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery.
Mrs. Atkinson was born in Camp Dennison, Ohio, May 26, 1884. The former Bertha Mae Richey, she was married to Charles Foster Atkinson. He died April 25, 1936. She had lived in Lacey and Waukomis for several years, moving to Long Beach, California, in 1942, where she resided until her death.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Hazel Petersen, Long Beach, California, Mrs. John (Mildred) Kimble, Sarasota, Florida, Mrs. Ernest (Lucille) Puckett, Enid, and Mrs. Walter (Gladys) Berkland, The Dalles, Oregon; one son, Charles Eugene, El Dorado, Arkansas; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great – grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by one daughter.
